Return policy

Detroit Furniture Policy

Order Changes & Cancellations
Customers must notify us at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled delivery date if they wish to change or cancel an order.

This policy does not apply to Special Orders.
Once merchandise has been picked up or delivered, no returns or exchanges will be accepted.


Damage Claims

Please inspect all furniture at the time of pickup or immediately upon delivery.
If any damage is noticed that was caused by our delivery team or by the manufacturer, it must be:

  • Noted on the delivery receipt, and
  • Reported to your sales representative the same day.

Detroit Furniture will not be responsible for, and will not honor, any damage claims reported after pickup or after the delivery team has departed.


Special Orders

Special Orders include any merchandise not regularly stocked or normally carried in our inventory.
All Special Orders are FINAL SALEno refunds, exchanges, or cancellations are allowed.

Once a Special Order is processed, the customer is responsible for the full purchase amount.
Detroit Furniture does not control manufacturer production or delivery timelines and cannot guarantee or be held responsible for any estimated or suggested delivery dates.


Warranty

Detroit Furniture does not offer warranties beyond those provided by the manufacturer.
Manufacturers require retailers to help facilitate warranty claims, but each manufacturer has its own specific terms and conditions.

For mattress warranty claims:

  • A copy of the original receipt and photos of the defect are required.

  • Manufacturer warranty terms apply unless a protection plan was purchased.

  • Detroit Furniture is not responsible for transportation of any mattress being serviced under a warranty claim. Delivery/transportation fees will apply if our services are needed.
