2006
In 2006, Detroit Furniture came to life, born out of the vision of an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience. A family-operated business, it set up its initial 8,000 square-foot showroom at the intersection of Warren and Greenfield.
2011
Fast forward to 2011, and Detroit Furniture was thriving. Seizing the opportunity, the family expanded their operations with the acquisition of a 10,000 square-foot showroom, solidifying their presence on West Warren between Greenfield and Southfield roads. The store underwent a strategic remodeling to enhance its aesthetic appeal for customers.
2012
In 2012, Detroit Furniture continued its growth trajectory by acquiring a 20,000 square-foot warehouse. This spacious facility helped amplify their purchasing power and made room for high quality furnishings. Strategically located at the intersections of Schaffer and Lyndon in Detroit, the warehouse played a pivotal role in the business's supply chain.
2017
On July 21, 2017, Detroit Furniture achieved another significant milestone with the closure of a 29,000 sq ft. warehouse. As our buying power increased, this enhanced our ability to provide our customers with the best deals in Motown. Gratitude was extended to both Divine Providence and loyal customers for their trust and integral role in our journey.
2019
In 2019, Detroit Furniture relocated its showroom to the same address as its warehouse, located at 6200 Miller Rd. This strategic alignment consolidated the team under one roof, fostering collaboration and operational efficiency. The move was designed to elevate the overall customer experience, providing seamless and comprehensive service.
2021
Two years later, in 2021, Detroit Furniture marked another milestone with the acquisition of a spacious 45,000 sqft warehouse at 10501 Haggerty St., Dearborn, MI. This supported the growth of the showroom and optimized space at the Miller location, offering an extensive selection for valued customers.
2024
In 2024, Detroit Furniture proudly initiated a new showroom, meticulously built from the ground up. This innovative space showcases a diverse range of furniture, featuring a state-of-the-art mattress gallery with renowned brands and an expanded collection catering to various interior designs. This expansion reflects Detroit Furniture's unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of furniture customers and ensuring every home finds something exceptional.
